2020 Elementary Summer LEGO Discovery Sessions (grades 1 - 5)

Lego

Join us for one, two, or three weeks of fun-filled LEGO® Discovery! Let your imagination run wild with LEGO® pieces large and small as your child's spatial intelligence is challenged and engaged. Directed by AMS Elementary Co-Lead  Michelle Risch.

Michelle uses her personal collection of hundreds of thousands, probably millions, of LEGOs to inspire creative and fun LEGO engineering. Children come to LEGO Discovery with their own building ideas, or explore the various projects that can be found in the numerous books and instruction manuals on-hand. Michelle challenges particpants in her characteristically supportive and fun way to try new things, see projects from a different angle, and to work collaboratively with peers to create amazing structures.

Your child will not be stuck inside all day - though we do have air-conditioning for those hot days. Outdoor play is an important part of LEGO Discovery and typically involves games like wallball, Gagaball, capture the flag, waterplay, and more.

Participants are welcome to join us for one, two, or all three weeks.
