Mission statement:
The Amherst Montessori Parent Association strives to forge and strengthen connections within our community through regular meetings, ongoing projects, and get-togethers during the school year. We’re the team behind the Ice Cream Social and Spring Celebration, Quarter’s Night and the Giving Tree, and many more fun events and initiatives! All AMS parents are welcome to join the PA. Engaging in your child's community
The aim of the Parent Association at Amherst Montessori School is to fundraise and hold school events for your child and the entire community to enjoy. PA members play a huge role in organizing the exciting, treasured traditions that your child and their peers look forward to every year. From eating ice cream sundaes at the Ice Cream Social in August to enjoying the family-friendly activities of our annual Spring Celebration, the PA ensures our community makes memories together year after year.
Parent Association meetings offer childcare, coffee, and refreshments, and are open to all parents and guardians.
This year, the PA has multiple sub-committees to work on the following initiatives:
- Social Committee
- Schoolwide Composting
- Fundraising Committee
- Spring Celebration Committee
- Teacher Appreciation Committee
- Library Committee
- Pride Parade
- Daffodil Run in support of CHD's Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hampshire County
