Extracurricular Programs

Every year we work with professionals and organizations outside AMS to offer extracurricular activities and lessons for our children. Please see below for details. Some lessons begin as early as September 13th, so please act quickly if you'd like your child to participate. Thank you!

Music Lessons With Joe Ricker

Joe is offering lessons in voice, piano, guitar, ukulele, and recorder. Lessons are open to students ages 5-12 and are offered on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays throught the school year in half hour and hour-long slots. Joe Ricker is the director of the Valley Guitar Academy in Northampton and the Assistant Musical Director of the Happy Valley Guitar Orchestra. He is an active performing and recording artist with his classical guitar group Duo Orfeo, and holds a Bachelor of Music in classical guitar performance from the Hartt School, University of Hartford as well as a Master of Music in Music Education from the University of Massachusetts.

Tennis With Ryan Paquette

Coach Ryan Paquette returns this fall for a fresh series of tennis instruction at Amherst Montessori! Ryan offers fun, game-based group tennis lessons and has been teaching tennis to kids for over 20 years. He is a Professional Tennis Registry Certified Pro, and directs junior programs at the Northampton Recreation Department and Tennis at Maple Ridge in Sunderland.
