Elementary Montessori Diploma, Association Montessori Internationale, Montessori Institute of San Diego

M.Ed., Montessori Emphasis, Loyola University

B.A., Film Studies, University of Tulsa

Patrick is a lifelong Montessorian. He attended Montessori school as a child, and when he was in third grade his parents opened Aldea Montessori in Phoenix, Arizona. Patrick helped out at the school whenever possible, touching up materials, doing repairs, and volunteering in the classroom in the afternoons. After finishing his Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies at the University of Tulsa, Patrick returned to Phoenix and began teaching. In 2016, he received his Montessori certification in San Diego studying under Greg MacDonald, completed a Master of Education at Loyola University, and moved to Amherst in order to start as lead guide in the Upper Elementary program at Amherst Montessori School.

Patrick’s own love of learning motivates him as a Montessori guide. He has experienced firsthand the benefits of a self-directed approach to education, and he works to help each student navigate their individual path through the curriculum according to their own inner motivation and interests. He embraces the need for a prepared classroom environment, and offers in-depth knowledge of the specialized Montessori materials.

Patrick is a self-proclaimed film fanatic. He has written, produced, and edited short films of his own, and has also worked as a production assistant on a film set. He lives in Amherst, and is enjoying settling into the community and exploring his new home.
